April 11, 2018 Jeffco EDC will recognize businesses that have significantly impacted the economic vitality of Jefferson County.

Jeffco EDC’s Industry Awards Event is a chance for you to join us in recognizing outstanding Jefferson County businesses. If you know of a business that should be recognized for their outstanding contribution please take a minute to complete and submit a nomination form.  All nominations forms must be submitted by February 16, 2018.


This award is given each year to a Jefferson County company that demonstrates a pioneer attitude within its industry and among businesses in Jefferson County. The company must provide standards for other businesses to follow in today’s rapidly changing global economy and must have demonstrated significant and sustained growth that has contributed to Jefferson County’s economy.


This award honors a private individual, elected official, city, company, or organization that has contributed to economic vitality in Jefferson County through creative leadership, innovation, facilitation, and collaboration within and outside of the County.


This award is given to a company that is on the forefront of new and advanced technologies.  These companies show leadership in the industries of aerospace, aviation, bioscience, energy, photonics, nanotechnology, and others.


Winners of this award show growth in primary employment, sales and/or capital investment in the last year.

Past Award Recipients

Pioneer Award recipient for their contribution in primary job growth and new capital investment in Jefferson County.

Genesis Award recipient for the Alliance for the Development of Additive Processing Technologies (ADAPT) Center.  This organization is dedicated to the development of next-generation data informatics and advanced characterization technologies for additive manufacturing technologies.

Genesis Award recipient for their new Arvada Campus and the development of the Physician Assistant Masters Degree Program.


Innovative Technology Award recipient for their carbon fiber-reinforced plastic recycling process.

Innovative Technology Award recipient their new reactive glass technology called StarRov 886, for improved performance in structural thermoplastics.
